What do you do when you get everything you want? The response to our production of The Little Dog Laughed has been amazing. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that this production would have struck such a resounding note throughout our community.
Yes, the script is amazing, it’s the reason that I was so passionate to produce this show. The actors are wonderful - I knew this from their first audition when my excitement for the show began to bubble over. But the most surprising “it” factor for this production has been you – our wonderful audiences.
Every night you teach me new ways to appreciate this show. Every night someone laughs at something new, something I had forgotten, or something I had been hoping that you would discover.
This past Saturday was absolute magic. The audience was large and laughed easily, the actors had a ball, and practically everything went well technically. It felt like the planets had aligned and the universe unfolded before us. That’s how good it feels when it goes well.
Naturally, we have avenues of improvement before us but your incredible response breaths life into these tasks enabling us to attack them eagerly, rather than grudgingly or with a sense of exhaustion. Thank you for coming out to see us, and for letting us know what this show means to you.
